Gasket selection in Plate Heat Exchangers Design - Compatibility Guide

The traditional problem when we have to design a Plate Heat Exchanger is if fluids involved are suitable with gasket selected.

where wide range of fluids are included with compatibility guide.

For instance we have to deal with Sulphuric Acid: plate selection would be Hastelloy C 276 but gasket material could be Viton (FKM) or others

If we select letter S we got several liquids

scrolling down we can see Sulphuric acid at different concentration

if we are working with H2SO4 at 96% concentration right selection will be Viton FKM and not EPDM...
